Love the new layout!! :) Use Fan Former page on facebook . . . I did that for my etsy shop and it brought me a lot of new traffic! There are several others out there too, I'll have to give you the info for them. :)
Absolutely love this new look Patti! I need to hire you to design my new blog (Time Out-Burn Out) about youth sports! Way to go and keep up the good work!
Advertising on social networks such as facebook and twitter is a great way to get traffic to your site. In addition, create a page on facebook for your website where you post updates, new posts, etc. Hope that helps!
Thanks Amy, Kris and Mona for your comments and your support! You guys rock!
Get yourself out there! Blog hop, leave thoughtful messages and your link. Be sure to have great content here so that when people follow your link, there will be great things to keep them here. Don't just go to a blog, state you are a follower, and ask they follow you back. Those aren't the people you want anyway. You want people who WANT to be here. So show off your teaching prowess on other blogs with responses to them, and the people will come. (I hope that makes sense!)~StephanieTeaching in Room 6
Thanks Stephanie! I have been doing lots of hopping today. Hopefully that will help! I have been discovering some GREAT blog sin the meantime!!
Keep it real. I think people enjoy seeing the "real you." They LOVE the freebies and beneficial posts...things they can take back to their classroom and implement with ease! I think PICS are helpful too! (Showing them examples and what it looks like) :-) Michellenomonkeybusinessmichelle.blogspot.com
Thanks Michelle! Working on some freebies!!
I agree with what the others have said-comment and leave your link, and show your personality! I loved the comment that you left me this morning-it cracked me up! That gerbil better not be nocturnal! Although...it might help with noise in the room..."Shhh!!! Walter's sleeping!"Laura Will Grade For Coffee
Thanks Laura! Good Luck with Walter. PS- I think he needs his own blog!!
Glad I could help! Your button is adorable!
Thanks! You were a lifesaver..I was about to give up!
Kris sent me over, great looking blog! Looking forward to hearing what you have to say... please stop into my joint someday.
Thanks Kim- Kris is a great friend. I'll be sure to check out your blog soon!
I follow blogs on Google reader and Facebook. I go to blogs generally for freebies, but I am interested in what other teachers do in their classroom(successful or not!)The more you share, the more I'll be there! Thanks for firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks! I have lots of ideas and stories to share..hopefully my readers will enjoy them. Looking forward to getting great ideas form others as well.
Hi there. Thanks for stopping by my blog. As long as you blog like the person you truly are and offer beneficial information you will attract followers to your blog. Also leaving thoughtful comments on others blog posts with your link also helps. Getting involved in different linkies and parties and hops also help. Be yourself. Share beneficial information with your readers. You should see your numbers start to increase. (Most importantly be patient. They will come :) )HeidiMy (Not So) Elementary Life
Thanks Heidi! I have been visiting lots of blogs and trying to comment. Going to host my fist Linky Party tomorrow--stop back by and link up!
Have lots of giveaways and reviews of popular products, become members of blog groups, join in on twitter!
Thanks for dropping by Stefanie! I appreciate the advice. How do I get signed up to do product reviews?
Hey! I just found your blog because you liked someone from my facebook page! The best way to gain traffic is by visiting other blogs and leaving comments linking back to your blog, linking up with linky parties and having posts that are easily pinnable on Pinterest! :) I'm a new follower! Adventures of a Third Grade Teacher
Thank Amber. I just popped over and followed your blog. About to head back and check it out a little more. Hey I have a quick question...I have been leaving comments and including my blog URL. I noticed on other comments it show up as a link, but when I include the URL, it is just text (meaning the blogger would have to cute and paste it into a browser to go to my blog)..is there a secret to getting it to show up as a link? Thanks.
My advice is the same as above! I enjoy following teacher blogs that have a mix of education and personal things! I like getting to know the people that I follow. Also, freebies, comments, and linkys have raised my follower count! =)MegThird Grade in the First State
Thanks Meghan. I am pleased by the response so far and looking forward to hosting a linky party myself next week. Wondering if I shouldn't wait until after the holiday week...
Keep posting all your awesome posts! Seriously Patti, you talk about some awesome things!!! :)
